This morning joined one of my BFFs for breakfast at Croissants Bistro and Bakery on the corner of 38th Avenue and Robert Grissom Parkway in Myrtle Beach. It’s been about a year since I’ve been there, but I can promise you it won’t be long until I return.
Beyond their glass case filled with amazing looking baked goods, display of gorgeous cakes and coffee bar, they have a full-service menu. My friend and I sat down at a corner table. I ordered a large white chocolate mocha and we got down to talking. Shortly after we ordered. I got the Southern Breakfast Wrap with bacon, she got eggs and cheese on a croissant. Our service was very courtesy, attentive but not intrusive and the food…yum yum yum. The bacon was in the wrap, yet still crispy. The tortilla was soft and warm. The cheese to egg ratio was perfect and the veggies were crisp, but still tasted caramelized. I came in hungry, but won’t need lunch. I ate every bit!
I would definitely bring my family here for a casual breakfast or dinner. However it feels like an adults-only dinner situation. The dining room is on the mall side and intimate. I’m even leaning towards using the word “cozy” here. The dinner menu on their website looks refined and there is a distinct absence of children’s choices. You can find their entire restaurant menu here. I believe this will be the location of my next night out with the mister and I’m looking forward to it!
My total cost today was about $12.50, which included a large specialty coffee. And we all know that once Starbucks started charging $5+ for them, the rest of the world followed suit. With a fountain drink or water, this meal would have been a bit less.
For fun, check out their bakery gallery. We’ve all seen the amazing cakes made on shows like Cake Boss and any number of the Food Network Challenges. These cakes rival any of them! They’re gorgeous!
