The weather is supposed to be beautiful this weekend in the Grand Strand! That sets the perfect stage for two big festivals, both for the whole family.
On Saturday is the Myrtle Beach Irish Festival from 11:00 AM to 6:00 AM at Valor Park at the Market Common. There will be Irish music, beers, food, and, of course, inflatables for the kiddies.
Also on Saturday, there’s the Myrtle Beach Downtown St. Patrick’s Day Celebration from 2:00 PM – midnight. It will feature numerous musical acts, vendors, food, and kids’ activities. I took a look at the event map, and it looks like the Kids’ Zone is alcohol-free, which is appreciated. It’s located between 8th Avenue North and 11th Avenue North.
The other events I’m excited about this weekend are at the Myrtle Beach State Park. As you read more and more from me you’ll come to realize I love this place. I want to live there. 🙂 But anyway… at 11:00 AM, they’re doing a “Ring around the campfire!” program (for a $5 per person fee) that will teach participants about yummy fireside recipes. At 3:30 PM they are doing a “Crazy over crabs!” program that teaches about the various types of crabs in our area. Here is a link to all March activities. We’ve been to many and are never disappointed!
If you’ve got some great plans this weekend and want to share, leave me a comment. Maybe we’ll see you out!
