Normally I have many events to browse when choosing what makes it into “What’s up this weekend”. This weekend, despite combing through various sources, I’m just not coming up with much! Let’s hope it’s the calm before the storm – and by storm I, of course, mean loads of fun.
On Saturday, the Myrtle Beach State Park is hosting their annual Park Palooza! It begins at 10:00 AM and concludes at 3:00 PM and there will be a full-day of activities for the whole family, all of which are free with park admission. The park is located at 4401 S. Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach. For more information or a full schedule of events, call 843-238-0874. I love this place. I can’t say enough about it. If you go, you’ll have a wonderful time!
I also want to plug another event that was shared with me via Facebook. Students from Myrtle Beach Intermediate School are having a fundraiser yard and bake sale at the school on Saturday from 7:00 AM – noon. Not all students have the means to afford their trip to Washington DC, but there’s a team working to make sure they’ll be able to attend through fundraisers like this one. If you’re in the area, stop by, buy something yummy and hopefully you’ll find something else you need at a great price that goes to help a wonderful cause!
Enjoy your weekend and, as always, if you’ve got an event you think families in the Grand Strand should know about, email me at myrtlebeachforfamilies@gmail.com or post on my Facebook page.
