This steamy summer swelters on and so do the great opportunities to get out and enjoy the area! Here is a list of what’s going on this weekend.
Every Friday night, now through 8/26/11, the Market Common is hosting “Music in the Streets” with musicians and free carriage rides from 6:00 – 9:00 pm.
The Myrtle Beach State Park continues their summer schedule of educational programs such as “Crazy for Crabs” and “Nifty and Nocturnal”. The full descriptions, dates, times, and additional instructions for these programs are found on their website here.
Brookgreen Gardens continues with their “Cool Summer Evenings” events every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night through 8/12/11. The gardens stay open until 9:00 pm with live entertainment and creek cruises. For more information, visit their website.
On Fridays at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk in downtown Myrtle Beach there is a strolling Dixieland band, beginning at 8:00 pm. On Saturday, July 9th, there will be a concert by The Stranger, a Billy Joel tribute band, in Plyler Park, from 8:00 pm – 12:00 am. On Sundays, Whacker Barrell, a three person percussion act, will perform on the boardwalk from 7:00 – 10:00 pm.
