This weekend is the 23rd Annual Beach/River Sweep! It’s your opportunity to help keep our beautiful coastline and riverbanks free from debris and litter. It’s also your chance to connect with others in the community who also care, teach your children about their responsibility to protect the planet, and enjoy a beautiful morning in the great outdoors. I hear we’re in for a dip in temperatures and we’ll get a little taste of fall. Did anyone say Pumpkin Spice Latte? Just make sure that Starbucks cup ends up in an appropriate trash receptacle, please. 🙂
For more information, you can check out the SCDNR website here. You can scroll down on this page see a list of clean-up sites, along with contact information for their captains. No need to RSVP, just choose one and show up, ready to work. You may want to bring gloves and wear clothing you won’t mind getting dirty.
Thank you for your time and effort in keeping our great Grand Strand clean!
