While driving home from work today, my husband called and exclaimed, “There must be some horse event locally this weekend. Trailers are everywhere!” He’s right. This weekend is the 30th annual Jack Monroe Beach Walk, benefiting the American Heart Association. Horse-lovers and their horsey friends will gather at Lakewood Campground and spend the better part of the weekend riding on the beach.
Sadly, I no longer have a horse and haven’t ridden in years, but I’m excited to head to the beach, just as a spectator. You can check out some good video and information about event in this Digitel Myrtle Beach article. You can see the full schedule of events here.
