Two weeks ago my husband and I had the opportunity to take a hike on the beach in the beautiful Huntington Beach State Park in Murrells Inlet. Two years ago, we attempted to make it out to the jetty with our children, but a quarter-mile into it, the little one started whining and we gave up. This time we made it and enjoyed every minute of the journey.
The jetty is located at the northern most tip of the Huntington Beach State Park. From the northern beach access, it is just over a 3 mile hike from parking lot to jetty and back. Your only obstacle will be the sand and tide. Also note that you’ll have to climb a rock or two to get on the paved path of the jetty. It was gorgeous and one of the most natural stretches of beach in the Grand Strand.
