This coming Saturday, April 7, 2012, is the day for all things Easter this year! If you’re looking an egg hunt or the big white bunny, himself, here is a list of the hoppenings this coming weekend.
The Hard Rock Cafe at Broadway at the Beach is hosting the Easter Bunny during their annual breakfast. It begins at 9 a.m. and the cost is $9.95 per person, which includes a buffet of breakfast food and a special treat from the bunny. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 843-946-0007 Ext. 208.
Gordon Biersch at Market Common will also host an Easter Bunny breakfast from 9 to 10:30 a.m. The cost is $10 per person and parents are encouraged to bring their cameras as to not miss the photo op with the bunny. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (843) 829 0249. For more information, click here.
The Children’s Museum of South Carolina will hold their annual Easter breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. Food is provided by Chick-Fil-A, the Easter Bunny will be ready to take pictures with your little ones, everyone is invited to do crafts, and there will be two egg hunts – one for the youngest guests and the next for those ages four and over. You can read all of the details on their Facebook event page here. Registration is required by Tuesday, April 3, so don’t delay. The cost is $12 per person, $6 for museum members.
The City of North Myrtle Beach is holding an Easter egg hunt at McLean Park at 10 a.m. Children will participate based on their age and there will be activities and refreshments for all. You can learn more by visiting the city’s page here.
Thompson Farm in Conway will host Grand Strand children for an Easter egg hunt and day of fun. The fields will be filled with eggs, the Easter Bunny will be hopping around, happy to take pictures with you, and the strawberries are ready for picking! Chick-Fil-A will be at the event, if anyone wants lunch. The farm is open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The egg hunt is at 1 p.m. You can check out the Facebook event page here. The farm has a huge play area with a corn box (like a sandbox, but with corn), horse swings made from tires, a tractor tire obstacle course, lasso stands, and so much more. I’ve had the opportunity to go out there once before with a class of first graders and I remarked to the teacher that it was so great to have a place to go where the kids can play into exhaustion without having to worry about them being too loud, running, or…well…acting like kids. The cost for this event is $7.50 per child and Moments Captured by Kelly Renee Photography will be there, taking photos, and offering them for as low as $9.
The Town of Surfside Beach will hold an Easter egg hunt at Huckabee Recreational Complex at 2 p.m. Call Debbie Ellis at 843-650-9548 with any questions.
There will be an Easter egg hunt at the gazebo at Hammock Shops in Pawleys Island. The hunt will have 2800 eggs and is for children ages 10 and under. The Easter Bunny will be there and refreshments will be served. The festivities start at 3 p.m. sharp!
According to my calculations, you could probably hit a few events. It’ll take dedication, but I have faith in the Grand Strand kids’ love of chocolate. It can be done! Hope to see you out and about this weekend!
