If you’re looking for something unique and enriching to do this weekend, check out the Grand Strand Arts Crawl at Barefoot Landing.
Celebrate the arts and the 12 local Grand Strand Artists of the Month at this two-part event, which takes place on Saturday, January 19, 2013, starting with the Grand Strand Arts Crawl at Barefoot Landing from 4 until 7 p.m. You and your family can walk from eatery to eatery, viewing the art and snacking. There is a $10 charge for admission to the Grand Strand Arts Crawl, and a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit The Long Bay Symphony. Participating restaurants at Barefoot Landing include: Castano’s Italian Steakhouse, Flying Fish Public Market, Greg Norman’s Australian Grille, TBONZ Gill & Grill, and The Gallery Room at House of Blues Myrtle Beach.
The Children’s Museum of South Carolina will be on site. There will also be live music by local performing artists including: Feel No Other, Liz Kelley, Candice Marotta, Sleeping Policeman, Brian Roessler, and Jesse Uzzel. In addition, the Long Bay Symphony Youth Orchestra Ensemble will be doing a special performance.
The folks over at GrandStrandArts.com have done an amazing job this year of bringing our local artists into the limelight for all to enjoy. This event is the culmination of that huge 2012 effort. To read more about the amazing artist being featured at this event, check them out here.
Immediately following the art crawl is the 2012 Grand Strand Artist of the Year Awards Dinner at the House of Blues. All are welcome to attend.
