I can’t stop myself from sharing when I see a business doing something purely to help others.
The Palmetto Surf School is hosting a full day of free surf lessons to help a local family in need. Mom is in a battered women’s shelter, but she can only stay for so long. The first goal is to raise enough money to get her a car so she can work.
Instructors will be at 66th Avenue N/Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Typically the cost for a private lesson is $50 per hour and the group rate is $45 an hour. On Saturday, they simply ask for a donation that will help keep a family from going homeless.
All equipment will be provided, though if you have anything you’d like to use, please bring it. This event is for all ages and abilities.
Make sure you check out the Palmetto Surf School on Facebook. Good job, guys. Your willingness to jump into action to help someone in our community is heartwarming! <3
Please be sure to share this post to get the word out to as many people as possible. Seriously, who hasn’t dreamed about what it would be like to hang ten…or maybe more like five in our calm neck of the Atlantic, but still!
