I love books. So, so much. My to-be-read stack is at least 15 deep. While there are several authors I like, there is one whom I truly love. Ms. Jennifer Weiner.
Her novels are filled with humor, touching moments, heartwarming scenes, and endings I adore. She tells stories about people you can really wrap your head around. Not everyone is rich or skinny. They struggle with things that don’t always work out neatly.
Here’s a badly kept secret. I want to be Jennifer when I grow up. She was about 31 when her first novel was published. I’m behind, but need to commit to finishing what I’ve written, and share it. When doubt creeps in, I need to channel my inner-Weiner and know that what I put out will be enjoyed by others. And if ever I find myself with a successful publication, I vow to reach back and help others. I’ve seen Jennifer do it and it’s admirable.
I’m desperate for a new book, Jen. Thank you for all of the others. They were a treat. Please add Myrtle Beach to your next book tour. xoxo ~Melissa
