It’s kind of a joke, but I really love food. In fact, I wish I didn’t love it quite so much. So do my hips and mile time. But still, I thoroughly enjoy good food. Yet even as I type that, I realize it sounds flippant. I’ve never been in a situation where I experienced food insecurity or hungry. I’m certain those who have, have a much deeper appreciation for nourishment, while I’m giving thanks for things like my mom’s Thanksgiving stuffing.
Indulge me while I list my favorite foods: Haribo gummy peaches, my mom’s fried chicken, the aforementioned stuffing, tortellini, crab dip, nachos, crab cakes, my mom’s stuffed cabbage, potatoes, apples, risotto of almost any variety, hibachi, and chocolate frosted donuts.
Now with that all said, I want to encourage everyone to be generous throughout the year and donate either food or money to local organizations who support those in need. Here is a list with links to their sites.
