Who knew it was called Goat Island?

goatsHave you ever seen the goats on the island in the center of the Murrells Island Marshwalk? They’ve been a staple for each trip we’ve made out there since we moved here more than 10 years ago. They’re fascinating. How did they get there? Why are they there? What happens to them during hurricanes or really cold weather? We have so many questions. Well today I caught a news story on WPDE all about the goats (there are nine and they have names!), their origin on the island, and where they go during the off-season. I loved it and I know you will too. Have a read here.
