It’s no secret how much I love, love, love the Myrtle Beach State Park. Seriously, if they’d let me live there, I would. Even in the winter, it’s full of fun sights and sounds. A few weeks ago I got to enjoy watching horses on the beach and found a starfish. There is something new every.single.time. So imagine how excited I was when I read about one of their newest events – The Amazing Myrtle Beach State Park Challenge Race! It combines two of my favorite things – running and, obviously, the Myrtle Beach State Park.
On Saturday, March 1st, two-person teams will compete in a 6-8 mile walk/run race that covers the entire park and is based on answering questions, solving riddles, and doing challenges. Participants will only be given a map of the park, not the course. The use of technology is prohibited.
Teams must consist of at least one adult over age 18, and no one under age 12 is permitted to participate. The cost is $50. The rules and registration form is available online.
For more information, check out the park’s site here.

My heart skipped a beat when you wrote that you loved running 🙂
Hahaha! I’m so blessed to have you as a friend, Christine. Just to be fair, I have a love/hate relationship with it. I also fully admit to being pretty bad at it, but there’s got to be something there keeping me going for a year.
