What’s up this Father’s Day weekend? 6/17/11 – 6/19/11
Don’t miss my “Deals for dads” post that has some great information about Father’s Day specials around the Grand Strand, valid this weekend only.
- On Friday, June 17th, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Market Common on Farrow Parkway in Myrtle Beach, there will be “Music in the Streets”, featuring musical entertainers and free carriage rides!
- The Myrtle Pelicans have a busy weekend! They’re playing Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For more informaton about their schedule, buying tickets, or promotions, click here. Sunday’s game is on the Kids’ Club schedule. We’ll be there cheering on our favorite team!
- The Myrtle Beach State Park is hosting several educational programs this weekend. They include Seine-sational Fun, Tales by the Sea, Paint by Nature, Nifty and Noctural, Feeding Time, and Crazy over Crabs. For the complete schedule and description of programs, visit their website here.
- The students of Christina’s Centre Stage in Carolina Forest will present “MGM Hollywood”, a presentation of talent featuring students and professionals at the Palace Theatre, on Saturday, June 18th at 2:00 PM. Tickets are available at the door the day of the show. Break a leg, performers!

Deals for dads in the Grand Strand

The Myrtle Beach Pelicans is offering $7 reserve box tickets for all home games this weekend, limit four. Friday’s and Saturday’s games begin at 7:05 PM. Sunday’s begins at 6:05 PM. On Friday, the first 1000 fans get a sunglass case. Saturday is Military Appreciation Day and includes a performance by the Sweet Right Brothers mascots. Sunday’s game ends with fireworks.
